Plum Blossom Centre Inc. launches fiscal sponsorship of the Stand for Culture: GTA Shen Yun Restoration Campaign

Plum Blossom Centre Inc. (PBC), a federally registered Canadian charity (CRA BN: 847432705 RR0001), is pleased to announce the formal establishment of a fiscal sponsorship arrangement with Fans of Shen Yun (FSY) in support of the Stand for Culture: GTA Shen Yun Restoration Campaign, effective April 6, 2026.

This initiative directly advances PBC’s charitable mandate of promoting and protecting human rights in Canada. The campaign responds to the April 2026 cancellation of Shen Yun’s remaining Toronto performances at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts — cancellations that followed an escalating series of threats reported to Toronto Police Service and publicly attributed to a systematic foreign interference campaign.

PBC’s board of directors has reviewed and approved this Project as consistent with its registered charitable purposes. Under the fiscal sponsorship arrangement, PBC retains full direction and control over all donated funds in accordance with the Income Tax Act (Canada) and CRA Guidance CG-004.

All donations received under this campaign will be officially receipted by Plum Blossom Centre Inc. and are eligible for a charitable tax credit under the Income Tax Act (Canada). Funds will be applied exclusively to approved campaign expenses including public awareness advertising, community outreach, and performance facilitation costs in the Greater Toronto Area.

PBC invites the public and its supporters to join this effort to defend freedom of cultural expression and resist foreign interference in Canadian civil society.
